Guys, if you ever happen to be in Kyoto, I strongly recommend you go check out ‘Gear’, a long-running Cirque du Soliel-esque live show. It was a total blast.

The Hermit card suggests that you need to withdraw from the obligations of everyday life in order to seek knowledge from your inner voice. He is on a lonely path of contemplation and self-discovery, seeking deep, personal truths about himself that he otherwise wouldn’t be able to realize. The card often denotes a pivotal point in your life where you are re-evaluating your past actions and goals, and considering changing direction.
Hunter is an incredibly lonely kid. He’s been isolated from people his own age for most of his life, and his role as the Golden Guard further sets him apart from others, preventing him from forming any kind of healthy bonds. Hunter’s whole life has been predetermined for him, and so far he’s obediently stayed on course. He expresses a desire to determine his own path in Hunting Palismen when he meets Luz, but his encounter with Amity is the first time someone empathizes with his issues and offers a glimpse at a different course to take. It’s clear that in the ending scene, Hunter took her words to heart and is starting to reconsider whether the path he’s on aligns with his own values. He also makes the mental connection with Flapjack (a manifestation of his inner voice) for the first time, suggesting his sense of identity is coming into focus.
